My L32CMB

Postby Brewster » 07 Sep 2007, 10:19

Hello everyone, I've posted a couple of times on the original thread for this model, but I thought I'd start this one as I managed to take a couple of pictures this morning. I'm no David Bailey, but some have come out quite well. I took delivery of my baby two weeks ago and I'm totally smitten. What a fantastic guitar. It never fails to bring a smile to my face. Anyway, hope you like the pictures.

That's the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol in the background. I thought it made a nice frame for the shots and located the guitar too as I live and work just around the corner.

Oh yea ... you've a good eye for composition, I really like the 3rd photo.

Infact, I wouldn't mind a copy of the original jpg for our new website currently under construction.

No problem Jim. I took about a dozen this morning, some are better than others, but I'll send the lot and you can have a browse :) .

Oh, hang on, my playing partner has just told me that's not what he meant when he said "take it to the bridge." :D

Glad you got them ok Jim. I look forward to seeing one or two on the new website when it's up ;)

Looks like a fantastic instrument. One for a lifetime. Is that rosewood back and sides ?

And beautiful pictures... the curves of the guitar and the bridge behind :P

Tasty indeed! Makes me working up my appetite for another Avalon... :P

By the way, wouldn't this stunning background look great for your Golden Gate series as well?

Brewster, any opinions yet about the arm bevel? Is it as comfortable as it looks?

It really does help the guitar feel part of you, allowing it to sink into you more than any other jumbo. Some jumbos I've played feel ungainly when sat on you as you can't get a comfortable, relaxed playing position, but I've had no such problems with this one. For a big guitar it is very easy to get comfortable with. :)
